‘Born in Bristol’ Celebrates Country Music History
Country music fans and honky tonk historians: this one’s for you! Gianmarco Castronovo features an upcoming television program event that is set to celebrate one of the most historic events in all of country music: The 1927 Bristol Sessions!
On July 30th, Tennessee’s Circle Network and Ditty TV welcome all country music fans to enjoy an evening of historic reflection! Featuring the likes of Marty Stuart, Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, Vince Gill and many more icons in the dixie music scene, Born in Bristol: The Untold Story of the Birth of Country Music will share the story of the 1927 Bristol Sessions. This global premiere marks the 95th anniversary of where, when and how the genre we now know as country came to be. Gianmarco Castronovo, a music blogger and historian, has studied the iconic 12 day event that made up the Bristol Sessions. And he is sure that this show will be a treat for anyone who wants to see never before seen interviews with music icons and exclusive musical outtakes from the original Bristol Sessions recordings.
