Startup Junkie and Northwest Arkansas’s very own Music Education Initiative (MEI) are collaborating to bring music and education professionals together for a unique networking event. Music blogger Gianmarco Castronovo features the upcoming music-themed happy hour:
Aspiring and working music and education professionals in the Northwest Arkansas area: this networking event is for you! On Friday, September 30, 2022, Startup Junkie and the Music Education Initiative (MEI) welcomes you for an evening of creative collaboration and networking — with happy hour drinks included! The event will be led by MEI’s Executive Director and Co-Founder, Orson Weems as he guides the event with a focus on the Initiative’s mission: to engage, educate and elevate! For years, MEI’s many programs have been a major force in empowering aspiring and up-and-coming professionals and artists in the local music and entertainment industry.
Not too many people would think of Arkansas as a major hub of music creation. But music blogger and historian Gianmarco Castronovo knows better! In fact, the South Central region isn’t without its own pages in the book of music history. More than that, its impact on blues is evident, having acted as stomping ground for the iconic and influential musicians who brought the Mississippi Delta’s brand of Delta blues not only to the region, but to the world! The Music Education Initiative likes to think of itself as an offshoot of that beautiful era of creativity and innovation in sound. And now, you can be a part of it, too!
Featuring a performance by DK Harrell, Jus Blues Music Foundation’s 2022 King of Blues, delicious drinks and other wonderful delights, this is a happy hour you won’t want to miss! Be sure to register for this free Brews & Blues Happy Hour on September 30th from 5:30 to 7 PM at The Pryor Center in Downtown Fayetteville.
