Exciting news for baseball and softball fans! Gianmarco Castronovo is thrilled to announce that there is a glimmer of hope! We just might see baseball AND softball at the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Baseball has been hailed as America’s favorite pastime for generations. And even while football has seemingly taken center stage over the years, few sports are as American as baseball! So it comes as no surprise to Sports Writer Gianmarco Castronovo that baseball and softball will likely make a return to the Olympics in Los Angeles. Afterall, would it really make sense to host the Olympic Games in the USA without paying homage to the nation’s favorite pastime? No way!
Gianmarco Castronovo learned about the potentiality of baseball at LA28 through a recent proposal from the official committee of the Olympic Games. In their proposal, the Committee hints at other sports that will be considered for inclusion. Other sports include cricket, flag football, lacrosse and squash. Castronovo would love to see baseball and softball at LA28. The baseball fan would also love to see lacrosse at the Games, as this sport has not been included in the last few Summer series.
